Kozhikode Police Revoke Notices for Three Pakistani Nationals Following Visa Clarification
Kozhikode (Kerala), India, April 29 (ANI): The Kozhikode countryside law enforcement has removed warnings sent to three individuals Pakistani nationals once they verified that an application had been submitted long-term visas .
The people identified as being 79 years old Puthanpuravalappil Hamsa , Khamarunnisa , and her sister Asma , have been living in Kozhikode for an extended period.
Hamsa, who was born in Kerala, moved to East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1965 and eventually made his home in Karachi. In 2007, he went back to Kerala and submitted an application. Indian citizenship .
In the meantime, five additional Pakistani nationals with temporary visas have departed from Kerala, as reported. Kozhikode police.
This follows the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam region.
The central government's choice to halt visa processing services has resulted in Pakistani nationals following the Pahalgam terror attack.
A total of 537 Pakistani nationals More than 300 people have departed India via the Attari border during the last three days following the expiration of the deadline for short-stay visa holders on Sunday, as per an official statement.
On Monday, speaking with ANI, Arun Pal, who works as a protocol officer at the Attari Border, mentioned that over the last three days, 850 Indian citizens have come back to their homeland. He also noted that 237 individuals arrived just on Sunday. Pakistani nationals returned to their homeland, whereas 116 individuals from India returned.
The custom immigration desks became operational at 10 am. Prior to their closure, 237 Pakistani nationals had gone back to Pakistan from India, and 116 Indians had returned from Pakistan. Since April 24th, a total of 537 Pakistani citizens have returned to Pakistan, whereas 850 Indian residents have made their way back to India. As per recent updates, individuals holding Pakistani passports must complete their crossing by April 29th, with the same deadline applying for those who hold Indian passports, as stated by Pal.
A terrorist assault occurred in Pahalgam, located in Jammu and Kashmir’s scenic area, resulting in the deaths of 26 individuals, primarily tourists. Among those killed was one citizen from Nepal. This tragic event took place approximately at 2 PM in the Baisaran meadow, close to the well-known tourist destination of Pahalgam within Jammu and Kashmir. This horrific act ranks among the most lethal incidents in the region after the 2019 Pulwama strike that resulted in the loss of life for 40 CRPF personnel. (ANI)
