I Will Lead Anambra to the Forefront: Ukachukwu's Vision

Anambra All Progressives Congress (APC) The governorship candidate and flagbearer for Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has vowed to lead the state towards progress, voicing confidence about winning against Governor Charles Soludo in the upcoming November 8 Anambra election.

On Wednesday, he addressed the National Secretariat of the governing APC party in Abuja following the receipt of his certificate of return as the party’s candidate.

The ex-federal legislator stated that the current governor and the APGA nominee do not possess sufficient acceptance among voters to achieve their goal of securing another term through elections.

Ukachukwu, expressing his confidence in winning, stated: "We are resolute in securing the best candidate from our party, APC, to lead Anambra State. For progress to reach Anambra, it must be integrated with the central government."

Anambra State should not continue as a single-party region anymore. It's essential for us to engage with the center to understand what's happening, ensuring our opinions are considered during decision-making processes. As the heart of the Igbo nation, Anambra shouldn’t stay under one party rule due to personal interests.

Misguided rumors circulating in certain circles suggest that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu fully endorses Soludo’s re-election bid. However, an APC gubernatorial aspirant stated emphatically, "These claims are false regardless of their source. Why would a president who consistently backs his party for victory suddenly decide to endorse someone outside the party?"

If APGA can be sold independently of the center, then why are they depending on it? This is the first time Soludo is putting himself forward as a candidate. It’s up to us to decide if he has widespread support.

"We are prepared for the fight. Remember that Mbadinaju served only one term. So, what prevents Soludo from doing just one term?" Ukachukwu questioned.

He added that his participation in the race is due to the fact that the people of Anambra State deserve greater focus from the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.

Ukachukwu showed appreciation to Tinubu and the NWC led by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for maintaining fairness during the primary elections within the party. He mentioned that this time around, members of the APC will collaborate effectively to guarantee their success in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
